Dan Bricklin

Dan Bricklin was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 16, 1951.

He received his B.A. in computer science from MIT in 1973. In 1979, he obtained an MBA in business administration at Harvard Business School.

He is best known for creating VisiCalc (the first computer spreadsheet), also known as the first "killer application" for the Apple 2 personal computer. He also co-founded the company known as Software Arts.

Presently he is the president of Software Garden Inc. and the vice president of Slate Corp.
